Ponda the Chef Support

Email support.pondathechef@gmail.com. We read every email and aim to reply within a few business days. It helps to include your iPhone model and iOS version (Settings > General > About), the app version (Ponda the Chef > Settings > Version) and what happened.

Where are my recipes stored?

Only on your iPhone. There's no account or cloud service. If your iPhone backs up, the backup includes them.

How do I move my recipes to a new iPhone?

Set up the new iPhone from a backup of your old one, or transfer directly from your old iPhone during setup. Saved PDF and Excel files can't be imported back into the app.

Are the prices exact?

No. They're estimates from the prices you enter, and they leave out pack sizes, tax and store differences.

Does scaling change cooking times?

No. Scaling changes ingredient amounts only. Check cooking times, temperatures, pan sizes and food-safety steps for your batch size.

The app says my library can't be opened. What now?

Nothing has been deleted. Tap Try Again. If it still fails, tap Share Damaged File and email the file to us, or tap Start Fresh, which keeps the damaged file and your saved documents.

What's in Explore?

193 premade dishes from 84 cuisines. They come without prices: save one to your recipes, then add what you pay. Switch between metric and US units at the top of Explore or in Settings.

Can I use it for catering?

Yes. Add the dishes to the cart, open Order Details to set a name, pickup time, guests and a buffer, then save the Kitchen or Purchasing Order Sheet as PDF or Excel.

Who took the photos?

Each premade recipe credits its photographer and license on its page, and Settings › Photo credits lists them all.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. Ponda the Chef comes to the App Store first, and an Android version is coming to Google Play.

How do I delete my data?

Delete recipes, cart items and saved files in the app, or delete the app to remove everything.
